Following the wedding and reception we can pick-up the gown for post-wedding cleaning and pressing, as well as our lifetime guaranteed Legacy Gown Preservation®. We have an additional service of gown storage both before the wedding and after it's boxed for preservation to ensure that it is stored in the best environment possible.

Our bridal alterations specialists have exensive experience in the alterations of wedding gowns, including resizing, restyling, creating attractive bustles, and even creative methods to update or restore vintage gowns. Additional pre-wedding services include touch-up cleaning, final pressing, site delivery, pack for travel, and pre-wedding gown storage. Following the wedding, all gowns should be cleaned, whether you wish to have them preserved or not. Margaret's has a custom designed multi-spectrum inspection room to check for "invisible" stains, quite common on wedding gowns following the wedding. Those stains must be completely removed to prevent yellowing of any stored gown. See samples of "invisible stains" in the slide show above.

With Legacy Gown Preservation it is possible to preserve your wedding gown so that it may be worn by generations of brides. Museum conservators expect to extend the lifetime of textiles for 200 years by storing in an acid-free box with with acid-free tissue and a cotton muslin liner. These are the basics of the heirloom preservation system that we use after your gown has been expertly cleaned and hand finished.

Vintage Restoration can restore an old damaged and/or yellowed gown so that it can be worn by generations of brides.

Keep your gown secure, safe from the hazards of a crowded closet, and also hidden from "prying eyes" before the wedding by having us store it for you. Following your gown preservation, we offer long-term storage in a climate-controlled environment. We will also take care of opening the storage box and refolding the gown as needed.
